The latest Domain Rent Report has revealed that investors may have to cross the border to Queanbeyan to get a return on their investment.

Queanbeyan recorded the highest median gross rental yield of all Canberra suburbs and its surrounding areas at 6.47 per cent for a unit.

Within ACT borders, Hawker has delivered a median yield of 6.44 per cent with a median unit rent of $480.
