A.C.T. Rescuers are being recognised for their effort to save a hiker from Kambah pool.

It was September last year –

A young hiker was found, just barely holding on to a log in a high, fast flowing water stream at Kambah Pool.

Three officers jumped in to get him despite the poor conditions and worked together to get the hiker out.

Their effort has won the ACT rescuers commendations at the 2023 National Search and Rescue awards.
