Twist in Case Involving NRL Boys

A twist in the follow-up to a police case involving two NRL players involved in a disturbance outside a Canberra night club.

Latrell Mitchell’s barrister believes no meaningful change will come from a police review into the failed case against his client which involved Jack Wighton.

Charges relating to a scuffle earlier this year were dismissed – after evidence given by the officer overseeing the NRL Player’s arrests was contradicted.

Mitchell’s Barrister Jack Pappas says it’s HIS understanding, the Federal Police Professional Standards Team is now investigating.

He says he’s been following police failings for decades – but has not seen any attempt to reform or make corrections.

At the time of writing,  Police had not made a comment.
