Canberrans on Centrelink payments get a cash raise starting this week.

It’s part of a series of changes that are being introduced from January 1st..

Centrelink payments will rise by an average of about 20 dollars a week.

Those in the A.C.T. on youth allowance will see a fortnightly rise of between $19 and $41 per fortnight.

Austudy has increased on average about Nine Dollars a fortnight.
