Drivers Caught in Double Demerits Sting

Share:

A handful of drivers have received an unwanted Christmas surprise, after committing a range of driving offences on our roads.

One learner motorbike rider was caught travelling 45 km/h an hour over the speed limit and tested positive for a prescribed drug.

Another driver was caught going 36 km/h over the speed limit and will lose their driving privileges for three months.

A third driver was found to be driving while disqualified and under the influence of alcohol, and will face charges in court.

Police remind all road users that double demerit points are in effect until January 2, and that officers may be on the roads at any time conducting mobile breath tests.
