Gusty Winds Move Into Canberra

Forecasters are keeping an eye on the potential for damaging winds to hit the southern A.C.T. Later today.

For the most part, damaging winds have started to hit the Snowy Mountains, parts of the NSW south coast and southern tablelands,

– The southern A.C.T. is included in the warning.

The gusty conditions are being felt across Canberra

Damaging winds averaging between 80 to 90kmph are expected for the warning zone – with peak gusts of up to 130kmh, for the Alpine areas

The gusty conditions are expected to drop by the time they reach the A.C.T.

But forecasters say, it’s still a windy day for Canberra.
