The ACT Greens officially have a nominee to replace Johnathan Davis.

Laura Nuttall has put her hand up to contest in the countback for the southern seat of Brindabella, with some saying she’s in for a good chance at the job.

She says she wants to hold the door open for more young Canberrans, so they can represent the interests of those like them.

Ms Nuttall is 24, and if elected, will be the youngest Greens representative from any jurisdiction in the country.

Ms Nuttall was policy advisor in Mr Davis’s office for two years.

Mr Davis resigned from the Assembly, following allegations of sexual misconduct with a number of young people.
