Canberra is recovering after yet another freak storm ripped through the national capital.

Evo energy says it was hopeful to get supply returned to homes by late last night.

Thousands reported losing power.. due to fallen power lines yesterday afternoon.

Hail and strong winds battered the national capital –

Outages were reported in parts of the following suburbs:

Ainslie, Dickson, Downer, Watson, Lyneham, Gungahlin, Hackett, Majura, Sutton, Campbell, Curtin, Holder, Monash and O’Connor.

A.C.T. emergency services responded to more than 150 requests for help, in the wake of the storm
