While the storm activity wasn’t violent for Canberra – it did bring lightning and a lot of thunder to the region.

Overnight rain also cooled-down the nation’s capital overnight.

Last night, the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the ACT for damaging winds & large hailstones.

The warning expired around 10pm but another round of storm activity could be seen and heard in the early morning.
